Why We Love Warehouse District
I’m taking you neighborhood by neighborhood to discover the art, culture, and local character of the greater Tampa Bay region.
Once a stretch of industrial warehouses, St. Pete’s Warehouse Arts District has become a neighborhood where creativity is part of the everyday. From working artist studios all in one space to glassblowing and colorful murals, it's easily one of my favorite places in St. Petersburg

DUNCAN McCLELLAN GALLERY
Contemporary glass art museum
About Duncan McClellan Gallery
Located in the heart of St. Petersburg’s Warehouse Arts District, the Duncan McClellan Gallery is much more than a traditional art gallery. Founded by renowned glass artist Duncan McClellan, the space was transformed from a former fish and tomato packing plant into a vibrant destination for contemporary glass art. Today, it features rotating exhibitions showcasing nationally and internationally recognized artists, with everything from colorful glass sculptures to intricate decorative pieces. The gallery's industrial roots, spacious exhibition rooms, and lush tropical sculpture gardens make it a unique place to explore.
What makes the gallery particularly special is the opportunity to see the creative process firsthand. Its on-site hot glass studio hosts live glassblowing demonstrations, allowing visitors to watch artists transform molten glass into works of art. The gallery also hosts exhibitions, special events, and educational experiences that connect the community with glassmaking. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply curious about the craft, it's a welcoming place to discover something unexpected. Admission is free, and visitors can explore the gallery and gardens at their own pace.

About Arts XChange
The ArtsXchange is a creative hub where local artists can work, collaborate, and share their talents with the community. Opened in 2017 by the Warehouse Arts District Association, the campus transformed former industrial buildings into affordable artist studios, galleries, classrooms, and performance spaces. Visitors can explore rotating exhibitions, discover local artwork, participate in workshops, and meet the artists behind the creations. The ArtsXchange is also a popular stop during St. Pete’s Second Saturday ArtWalk, when studios open their doors for an evening of art and community.
