Festival Singers of Florida

WHO WE ARE

The renowned Festival Singers of Florida is an auditioned professional chorus originally created for music educators in Florida. In its tenure, it has grown and expanded to include singers from various backgrounds, professions, and locations from throughout Florida and from as far away as Maryland, Nebraska, and Tennessee. The Festival Singers of Florida performs a wide range of music but is especially dedicated to commissioning and promoting works by living composers such as Elaine Hagenberg and Dan Forrest. This has been accomplished through various initiatives including A Voice for Peace which began as a partnership with the Nairobi Chamber Chorus in Kenya and has grown to become a global choral tradition. Entering its 16th year of bringing impassioned and inspiring performances, our vision to commission new choral works that reflect our communities continues this season with the premiere of Kyle Pederson's "...And Justice for All." Others works you will hear this year are previous commissions and some were composed by members of the Festival Singers, including works by Justin Havard, Marques Garrett, and Skip Stradtman.
