Art Center Sarasota's mission is to bring together creatives and the broader public to increase understanding of our human condition, support wellbeing, and build community connection through the universal language of art.

Art Center Sarasota is a member-based organization that offers curated and juried exhibitions, workshops and classes, outreach initiatives, and more.
Since 1926, Art Center Sarasota has been a hub of creativity and inspiration for artists of all levels for nearly a century. Explore curated art and juried shows exhibited in four galleries at the Art Center in the heart of downtown Sarasota. Participate in our calls to artists and join us for free Opening Receptions where you can mingle with other artists and arts enthusiasts and view contemporary art.
Providing a wide range of educational opportunities, from youth summer camp to adult workshops, classes, and open studios sessions, the center is committed to fostering artistic growth and community connection through the universal language of art.
Family Saturdays are a fun, free, and interactive way for kids and grown-ups to enjoy art together. Held every Saturday from 12–3 PM, these drop-in art experiences offer hands-on projects led by professional teaching artists, drawing inspiration from artists, exhibitions, and cultural traditions. The only experience required is your own imagination!
